As I was waiting for the elevator on my way to visit a friend in her studio, the lobby, which was under construction caught my eye. Fellowing Sunday I painted this space for four hours.
On Monday, the day after, the workers continued to renovate and finished tiling the walls covering all traces of the painting I had done. This was the first of six public places I chose as my temporary studio during my stay in New York.
